The Topaz 8 Plus is near-silent, and has the ‘DreamPillow’ static pillow section, so clients rest comfortably. The lower air cells remain inflated, which offers coverage during a power failure.
Description
The Topaz 8 Plus features Low Air Loss/airflow and ‘Alternating Mode’ – air cells inflate and deflate to offload pressure for the prevention and treatment of skin breakdown. Cells alternate slowly, to ensure patients remain comfortable.
‘Auto-detection’ sets the optimal pressure, which eliminates the need for caregiver adjustments. The Topaz 8 Plus has an intuitive control-panel, and three therapeutic Modes for individualized client care and comfort.
Therapeutic Modes
Alternating Mode
1-in-3 air cells gently inflate and deflate to offload pressure for the prevention and treatment of skin breakdown. Cells alternate slowly, to ensure patients remain comfortable. The mattress features ‘SmoothCell’ design – a gentler cell movement than traditional alternating cells.
Static Pressure Mode
Air cells remain at a selected static pressure, providing an even surface for caregivers and clients.
Constant Low Pressure (CLP)
Air cells maintain at a lower pressure. This greater client immersion delivers a constant and comfortable level of pressure redistribution. This is the gentlest Mode, and may be useful for hypersensitive clients or those in palliative care.
